Safety Films
Glass can be a fragile and potentially dangerous material, with the possibility of serious damage or injury if broken.
Legislation dictates that glass in certain locations must be of a minimum safety standard, It’s a legal requirement that glass of a certain size and in certain locations needs to meet safety standards. The exact standard is set out in Building Regulations Approved Document K.

Security ~ Bomb Blast Films
Windows and glass can be seen as a potential weak point when it comes to building security.
Armashield security films protect occupants and property from severe threats, such as storm damage, terrorist explosions, mob-riots and break-ins. Our films meet with MoD blast protection requirements.
Armashield security and blast protection window films have been developed to hold shattered glass in place on impact. They are optically clear and retrofitted to existing glass. The existing glass type and glazing configuration must be determined before the films are recommended, specified or installed.
Glazing that is coated with security film and subjected to accidental impact, violent attack, attempted smash and grab, break-in, explosion the glass may crack or even shatter but the fragments will be contained by the film, mitigating the risks.
Security films are available in a range of thicknesses to provide different levels of protection.
In certain cases an anchorage system needs to be used this bonds the film to the frame, reducing the risk in highly vulnerable areas.

UV Films
